When a believer submits to Allah..

One of the most beautiful videos I've seen - an interview with former French rapper 'Diam'. She gave up everything for Islam; unimaginable amount of Euros from millions of songs, living the dream and life on the fast lane. She was the most successful female rap artist in France, known to stand up for women, a role model to many french girls.. and she accepted Islam. Her willingness to give everything up and risk losing friends and family and being attacked by the media is truly inspiring. Allahu Akbar, what a courageous woman.
What really struck me from watching this interview was the humility in her body language, her expressions, the beauty in her speech and the constant smile on her face. The actual video that I saved the screen shots from had some indecent clips from her former lifestyle and music videos, so I didn't feel it was appropriate to share that with everyone. But the pictures I put together were parts of her interview that really stood out to me, which I found to be seriously awe-inspiring.

May Allah Keep her steadfast on the path and Grant her the means to inspire many others. What a beautiful way of life! Alhamdulillah for Islam.

A few ayaat (verses) to think about,

Surah 112. Al Ikhlaas, verses 1-4:
Say: He is Allah, the One and Only! Allah, the Eternal, Absolute; He begetteth not nor is He begotten. And there is none like unto Him.

Surah 2. Al Baqara, verse 3:
Those who believe in the unseen and keep up prayer and spend out of what We have given them.

Surah 29. Al Ankaboot, verse 45:
Recite that which has been revealed to you of the Book and keep up prayer; surely prayer keeps (one) away from indecency and evil, and certainly the remembrance of Allah is the greatest, and Allah knows what you do.

Surah 29. Al Ankaboot, verse 35:
And certainly We have left a clear sign of it for a people who understand.

Surah 50. Qaf, verse 16:
We verily created a man and We know what his soul whispereth to him, and We are nearer to him than his jugular vein.

Surah 13. Ar Rad, verse 28:
Those who have believed and whose hearts are assured by the remembrance of Allah . Unquestionably, by the remembrance of Allah hearts are assured.

Surah 29. Al Ankaboot, verse 46:
And do not dispute with the followers of the Book except by what is best, except those of them who act unjustly, and say: We believe in that which has been revealed to us and revealed to you, and our Allah and your Allah is One, and to Him do we submit.

Surah 24. An Noor, verse 31:
And say to the believing women that they cast down their looks and guard their private parts and do not display their ornaments except what appears thereof, and let them wear their head-coverings over their bosoms, and not display their ornaments except to their husbands or their fathers, or the fathers of their husbands, or their sons, or the sons of their husbands, or their brothers, or their brothers' sons, or their sisters' sons, or their women, or those whom their right hands possess, or the male servants not having need (of women), or the children who have not attained knowledge of what is hidden of women; and let them not strike their feet so that what they hide of their ornaments may be known; and turn to Allah all of you, O believers! so that you may be successful.
